Fun filled week!

I have been meaning to post for a while, so this might be a big one! First off, thanks to Auntie Sylvia for the awesome package. Josiah and I were cracking up as we read the progressive cards. I love the dinostomp outfit. He has two others and they're always the first to get dirty because they're my favorites. As for the sleep dresses, we love them too. He has a few, but his little legs are starting to stick out, so these ones are awesome because they're super long. Pics to follow...

So to begin, last Saturday Josiah decided to work, so I decided to kick it with my good friend Kristin. She had a friend who was visiting Lake Tahoe, so we decided to make it a day. Neither of us realized we were going to be visiting the actual lake, but we had a blast. We went to a doggie beach since her friend had a dog. The kids couldn't wait to get in the water, and it was SUPER shallow for like 30 yards. Like 2 feet deep. However there were little waves. So, we both roll up our pants, and wade in with our kids. I put zeke's little feet in and he didn't even cry. He is going to be such a water baby! So Kristin goes to take a picture of us, and I crouch down to put Zeke's feet in the water, and a huge wave comes from behind and SOAKS my entire back side. Kristin also got thoroughly wet picking up drake. She kind of looked like she peed herself. She has the pics on her camera. Sorry folks. Then we went and got ice cream and came home. It was marvelous.

Racked out after playing in lake tahoe. Yeah, that's Drake's diaper in the background. He finally lost it. We did dispose of it properly.

So I get home, and Zeke had just started crying in his car seat. Josiah came to the rescue, and found the reason. MAJOR BLOWOUT! So he got a bath. It was so funny seeing Josiah trying to pull a nasty onesie over Zeke's head trying to not get the poo even more spread around. It wasn't successful. It was his favorite doggie onesie, otherwise we would have just cut it off. (pics not to follow, for your sake!)

Then last night, (Tuesday) we went to the California State Fair to look at the "big dumb animals." However, they were mostly packing up and going home, since they were done competing. Whatever, jerks. There was a kids "animal nursery" that we decided to go see. It was SO worth it. I LOVE baby animals. Like when I see tiny sheep and cows on the side of the highway, I just melt. Well, these guys were TINY. Like Ezekiel tiny. The piglets were even smaller, and they were all huddling under the heating lamp. Super cute.

"Little lamb, you're the same height as me, that is neat!"

We went to the fair last year with Kurt and Lindsey, and I didn't go on any rides, because Lindsey was pregnant, and this year I didn't go on any rides because we didn't want to leave our baby in the care of the Carnies. We're givers like that.

This is him all ready to go to the state fair. How cute is he like a little boy!

Lastly, my baby wants SIDS. I'm having a little problem with his sleep habits. I know I can just put blankets on each side of him, but for the past few days he's been doing this.

Same position, different day:

I think he's trying to suckle against the side thats closest to me. It's really funny, but it makes me nervous. I never thought I had to make sure he was breathing until now. I don't really understand how he has no control over his arms and legs and body, but he can scoot, totally swaddled a good 10 inches to plaster his face against the side of the co sleeper.

This is Ezekiel playing with his friends. His neck is SO strong!

And finally, his swing. He pretty much hates the swinging portion of it, but he can sit staring at those lame bears for like 15 minutes. It's funny, because he'll blink, and then he'll close his eyes really tight, because they're burning from staring so hard.

He is darling. And those baby animals are almost as cute as Zeke. He seems like he's pretty well-mannered.

Until such time... said...

Glad you got the package. Can't wait for pics. You crack me up. "..we didn't want to leave our baby in the care of the Carnies. We're givers like that.." HAHAHAHA

I'm so glad you are SO happy!
